Low Kok Hui & Mr H. Ishikawa
I was not the recipient on 20 February 2006 to receive the Long Service Award....just doing my part to assist HR giving out the awards :P Heee.....bet u didn't know that I've been working in TPC (The Polyolefin Company) for the past 23 years...yup, no joke! Not kidding at all! I used to joke that tiny tpc is flowing in my blood vessel to much amusement. Ya, quite shiok lor!
Although Mr H. Ishikawa is not longer our MD, I have the opportunity to cross path with him through the course of my union work. It is because of his generosity and kind understanding, we were able to seal our Collective Agreement's bonus formula capping at a maxium of five months! So for the last two year, all employees finally get to enjoy the fruit of labour - 4 months plus at the end of December - it was fantastic years in 2004 & 2005!!!! Fat Bonus for all :D
I need to add too that on the dinner table itself during our half-yearly union and management gathering, he was so magnanimous to approve the budget for HR to organise Durian Party at office premise. Now this is truly 'fruit' of labour haha! He is just just so thoughtful.
Now that we have our new MD, we'll continue to work with him and the management coz we want to have more good years and more Fat Bonus too!
