I might be a gutsy lady but when I came across this during my recent trip to Beijing it is definitely a no, no.To the locals these are delicacy - fried scorpions, starfishes and even sea-horses.
They were all skewered ready to be deep fry and some scorpions were seen squealing which is quite unbearable to look.
Still, some gave it a go and I wonder if the scorpions are still venomous after frying though.
So, if ever you have a chance to try the Beijing local street food, would you give it a go? I wonder if Zhu have tried them? :)
