Well, it is only natural to react after reading the Sunday Times that Cadbury is recalling one million bars of chocolate produced in Herefordshire. They were concerned as there might be a contamination due to the leaking pipe at the plant. What a shame really!
But I was perturbed that this recall took place now whereas the leak was discovered way back in January! Why take such a long time to recall? Personally, I think they should be more pro-active rather wait till almost six months later to carry out this exercise. Imagine over six months' period - probably thousands and thousands of people might have already consumed those suspected contaminated products.
Anyway, not going to let one isolated incident dampen my craving for chocolates but felt a need to express my concern especially when we are dealing with the health of the consumers.
