Working in a Chemical Plant means that safety has always been the top priorities and in every company's agenda as well. So up till certain safety man-hour, the management would approve some form of rewards for all the employees.
Most of the time we do get about $200 to $300 and when it is close to certain target dates, most of us would be extra careful in whatever tasks we do as we did not want to forsake the safety goals as a result of negligence.
D's Plant is gonna start-up soon and to send the message across, all employees were given $60 shopping vouchers from Carrefour as well as a bar of toblerone chocolate with the message "Accident Free Is Our Goal For Plant's Start-up"
Hmmm... D's company is always so generous, every now and then there'll be starbuck vouchers, pastries' shop coupons, Burger King upon completing certain safety tasks.
Definitely a morale booster to all in view of the heavy workload prior to start-up as well as sending a timely reminder to all employees.
To me, Safety is definitely first and the top priorities with or without rewards really. (Hmmm...... any idea if Carrefour has a florist :D Kekekeek.....just kidding folks!)
